The Mammalian Daily uses the grammatical and typographical style set out in The Mammalian Daily Style Manual, which has set the standard for Park publications since the beginning of zoocracy.
The most important elements of this style are the following:
1. All Animal names (and the word “Animal”) appear in the upper case.
2. The majority of names in the natural world appear in the upper case (with the exception of the word, “world”). These include such things as Trees, Plants, Fruits, and Vegetables.
3. The exception to Rule #2 is weather. The word “weather” appears in the lower case, as do all words related to the weather, such as rain, snow, ice, fog, clouds, etc.
4. Our home is The Park. “The Park” always appears in the upper case, while parkland outside The Park appears in the lower case.
